E-Safety

At Springdale First School we believe that educating children about being safe on-line is of the highest importance especially during these strange and confusing times. Please see the latest letter which has lots of helpful advice and links to useful sites by clicking on this link  Online safety Information for parents

Many children are using social media to keep in touch with each other during this social distancing time, please see the letter below for information on Houseparty.

Digital Well-Being is an integral part of children's education in today's world and is embedded in their learning at school. As part of our curriculum, all children from Foundation to Year 4 follow our IT Scheme of Work which includes a very strong focus on digital literacy, including all aspects of on-line life such as communications, gaming, file sharing, streaming and downloading.

We have a group of Digital Leaders from years three and four who work alongside our school E-safety champion, Mrs Washbrook, to help keep everyone at Springdale safe on-line.

Some good E-Safety advice for Parents and children can be found on the following websites, especially with all the extra time children will be on-line during their time at home!
